Here's a simple guide to get you started with creating your world

Name your world and create your flag. Noville has many flag shapes, colours and sigils so you can make yours unique.

Match your book with a world builder item. For example, it could be a broom shop, a blacksmith's forge, or a haunted house. There are many builder items to choose from and more on the way.

Log your reading progress and watch your chosen item materialise. Earn a coin each time you log progress. Coins can be used to purchase builder items so your world can grow faster.

Once you've finished, place your newly built item in your world. Add smaller items as much as you like and simply tap and hold to move items around.

Noville is a brand new, independent app and I'm so excited to share this journey with you all and watch our worlds grow together.
Noville came about because I wanted a way to combine my love of reading with my love of city-builder games (I spent many hours as a child playing Theme Hospital).
In May 2025 two things happened - I hit 35 and I walked 100 miles across the North of England. Two things that will really make you think about what you're doing with your life. Noville came out of that walk pretty much fully formed as an idea.
Currently I live in Leeds with my partner and my two cats, Agatha Christie and Dorothy L. Sayers. Noville wouldn't have been possible without them.
